We love it when a plan comes together.
MPG was founded in 2018 by industry veterans and good friends Rik Alexander, Steve Bennett and Rocco Loscalzo. After years working together at various companies making multiplayer games and multiplayer tooling, we had the lightbulb moment that building a company focusing solely on multiplayer wasn’t as ridiculous an idea as we’d first assumed. Maybe not everyone had these skills in their studio?
Very quickly we realised that dev teams and publishers need highly skilled and experienced people to bolster their teams. The biggest studios and publishers around the world are relying more and more on this way of working which sets them up for flexibility and success. They might find that they’re unable to find the right skills for their project, or they may only want to keep a core team in the studio and use trusted partners to do the rest.
However our partners need help, we’re always able to engage with them, assess the requirements of the project and react with our proposed solution or, if we believe we aren’t able to knock it out the park, we always say no. It turns out that long term partnerships are built on trust and sometimes that requires you to say no.
what happened next
With continued growth and ambitious results, MPG was acquired by Improbable in September 2019, allowing us to supercharge our ambitions whilst still remaining technology agnostic and laser focused on client success.
Having establishing ourselves as the number one Co-Dev partner in multiplayer games, and hiring the best talent in the world, at the beginning of 2022 MPG extended our services to include Full-Dev and Analytics.
In 2023, we joined the Keywords Studios Group. We levelled up and found a new home working with some awesome people across Keywords’ many studios.

We always knew we'd want to hire the best people, regardless of their location. So we set ourselves up as a remote-friendly company, well before working from home became cool!
Our HQ is in Nottingham, UK and we have MPG Canada and MPG Spain. We've got teammates in Australia, Argentina, South Africa, Serbia and (almost) everywhere in-between. This makes for a really great mix of cultures and there's always someone in a timezone close to you!

Our people have a very impressive collective back catalogue, with an average of 6 AAA titles under their belts before they even join MPG. Many of us have worked in the industry for over 20 years, and at time of counting, we'd clocked up an impressive average of 10.8 years.
This breadth of experience means there's probably not a game you can think of that we haven't worked on, or a problem we haven't solved somewhere down the line. It also means we can offer great opportunities for learning and development for those newer to the industry.
